Skógafoss is one of Iceland’s biggest and most beautiful waterfalls, with an astounding width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 meters (197 feet). It appeared in the first episode of season 8 of Game of Thrones. In this episode, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen ride dragons and land next to a set of stunning two-stage cascades of waterfalls. Skogafoss was part of it, and the other waterfalls and rock formations were added digitally.

Solheimajokull is an outlet glacier of the mighty icecap of Myrdalsjokull on the South Coast of Iceland. It is shrinking rapidly. A glacier lagoon at its base reveals how quickly it is receding: the length of an Olympic swimming pool every year. In this tour, we take a short hike to the viewing point and back, but as it is a private tour, you can always stay a bit longer if you want.
